What kind of advocacy work does TurkishWIN lead?
We drive change where it counts: at the intersection of data, dialogue, and systems. Our advocacy work sheds light on the barriers holding women back and the solutions that can move them forward, especially in the workplace. From perception research to policy conversations, we bring the voice of women into the heart of decision-making.
We lead two flagship advocacy actions:
? The Women and Employment Research Report – TurkishWIN has co-led this annual perception study with XSIGHTS Research & Consultancy since 2017. It is one of Türkiye’s most comprehensive time-series analyses, uncovering the societal myths, cultural narratives, and structural barriers that shape women’s labor force participation.
? The Women Leadership Platform (Kadın Liderlik Platformu) – Co-led with KAGİDER, this is a community of practice made up of corporate, NGO, and ecosystem partners committed to building a gender-equal workforce. Together, we share insights, facilitate peer learning, co-create policy recommendations, and push for inclusive change in the private sector.

What is the “Women and Employment” research and why does it matter?
This research series is our compass for change because we cannot change what we cannot measure.
Every year, TurkishWIN partners with XSIGHTS Research & Consultancy to publish one of Türkiye’s most comprehensive perception studies on gender and employment. The research tracks structural barriers, societal myths, and shifting attitudes to provide the insight that fuels our advocacy, informs our programs, and guides our partnerships.

What is the Women Leadership Platform (Kadın Liderlik Platformu)—and who’s part of it?
The Women Leadership Platform (Kadın Liderlik Platformu or KLP) is where Türkiye’s private sector changemakers come together to rise. Co-led with KAGİDER, KLP is a community of practice that brings corporate leaders into a learning and development circle focused on advancing gender equity at work.
Our goal? To share real-world experiences, best practices, and bold ideas that move the needle on diversity and inclusion—especially when it comes to empowering women in decision-making roles.
Together, we focus on:
? Elevating women to senior leadership and board positions
? Supporting work-life balance policies that benefit both women and business
? Increasing women’s participation in male-dominated sectors
? Engaging men as gender equality allies
? Empowering women through times of crisis and recovery
WLD also acts as an ecosystem builder—connecting organizations ready to learn from each other and co-create change. We gather four times a year, in partnership with our Action Partner TÜSİAD, to listen, share, and lead forward—together. If you are ready to circle up, join the conversation here.
What is the advocacy agenda of the Women Leadership Platform (Kadın Liderlik Platformu- KLP)?
The Women Leadership Platform’s advocacy agenda is built around one belief: when private sector leaders rise for gender equity, everyone rises with them.
We focus on five key priorities:
? Moving women up the decision-making chain – into executive roles and onto corporate boards
? Strengthening work-life balance policies – for better business outcomes and stronger workforce participation
? Expanding women’s presence in male-dominated sectors – by opening doors and shifting workplace norms
? Engaging men as allies – because inclusive leadership is everyone’s responsibility
? Empowering women during crisis and recovery – ensuring gender equity is not sidelined when it matters most
KLP also serves as an ecosystem builder, connecting companies and organizations to exchange ideas, align strategies, and support each other in contributing to Türkiye’s gender equality goals.
This isn’t just advocacy. It’s action in partnership, in practice, and in real time.

Women Leadership Platform (Kadın Liderlik Platformu) welcomes gender equity champions in leadership roles, from the private sector, NGOs, and ecosystem organizations, who are ready to share, learn, and lead change together.
