Aylin Arslantas Bumin is West Europe District Marketing Manager at UPS, the Netherlands Chapter Lead of Turkish Women’s International Network and D&I Lead West Europe in UPS. She is a marketing professional with an industrial engineering background and an Executive MBA degree. After having various commercial roles in multinational companies, she joined UPS Turkey in 2010 and started her international career in 2013 by being promoted to Country Marketing Manager position of UPS Italy. Since March 2017, Aylin has been appointed to the role of West District Marketing Manager overseeing the marketing activities in seven European countries. She is passionate about women empowerment and diversity & inclusion projects. Aylin has a 6 years-old son and speaks French, English, Italian, Turkish, and beginner in Dutch.
What do you do for a living? Tell us more about you.
I am an industrial engineer as background. Currently, I work in UPS and oversee marketing operations in West Europe across 7 countries.
What's the best piece of advice you've received?
If you did everything you could do, then stay patient and let it go. The flow will bring you where you should go.
Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?
Definitely dark. One thing you wish you had known earlier in your career Be aware of your own brand – this is unique like your own signature.

You believe in the sisterhood at work because…
I believe in sisterhood because I believe that regardless of your seniority or where you stand in your career ladder, you have something to give to others also of course learn from others.
Who are your role models?
My biggest role model is my mother. I learned from her to be a resilient, strong warrior whatever the conditions are. And Leyla Alaton. I appreciate a lot what she does to enlighten females, especially in Turkey.
If you had one superpower, what would it be?
I would like to be able to travel within times... be able to go back to my childhood for a couple of days for instance.

If you weren’t in your industry – what would you be doing?
I practiced classical ballet for 20 years. I believe I would be a dancer.

I have one – lotus flower that means change and transformation
