My Bio
Following her love for reading books and discussions, Su Karagöz went to St. John's College, Annapolis to study philosophy. During her college years, she worked part-time at her college's Communications & Social Media Office as an assistant where she fell in love with the job. She created new social media projects, assisted with developing a new website, and supported the launch of a $300 million capital campaign for the college.
Through her academic work, her interest in the skeleton of society grew even larger and her focus on women's issues became more prominent. Following the pandemic, she returned to Turkey and became an entrepreneur by starting her own small olive oil business only three months after her graduation. Believing in the power of social work and sisterhood, she joined the Turkish Women's International Network (TurkishWIN) and is now working as the Communications and Events Lead.
Kitap okumayı ve tartışmaları seven Su Karagöz, felsefe okumak için Annapolis'teki St. John's College'a gitti. Üniversite yıllarında, kolejinin İletişim ve Sosyal Medya Ofisinde yarı zamanlı asistan olarak çalıştı, ve burada işine aşık oldu. Yeni sosyal medya projeleri yarattı, yeni bir web sitesi geliştirmeye yardımcı oldu ve kolej için 300 milyon dolarlık bir sermaye kampanyasının başlatılmasını destekledi.
Akademik çalışmaları sayesinde toplumun iskeletine olan ilgisi daha da arttı ve kadın sorunlarına odaklanması daha da ön plana çıktı. Salgının ardından Türkiye'ye döndü ve mezuniyetinden sadece üç ay sonra kendi küçük zeytinyağı işini kurarak girişimci oldu. Sosyal hizmetin ve kardeşliğin gücüne inanarak Turkish Women's International Network'e (TurkishWIN) katıldı ve şu anda İletişim ve Etkinlik Lideri olarak çalışıyor.
