My Bio
Melis has graduated from German High School and completed a double major in Math and Art History at Columbia University. After she got through an intense soul searching process, she founded Actifit in 2012. Actifit's flagship HR Tech product Wellbees aims to change employees’ habits for a higher quality of life. Melis' vision is to create a world where everyone reaches his/her potential whilst supporting one another. Actifit currently empowers 30.000 employees in over 70 companies to bring employees into action for a healthier life. Melis is also the founder of “Kızlar Sahada” (i.e. Girls in the Football Pitch), a social enterprise that trains over 250 girls in 14 different locations around the country of ages 9-24 for free to empower them challenging the gender stereotypes. Melis is also the Co-Founder of SWEATers, an app for socializing through sports. She is one of the Tiny Habits programme coaches of BJ Fogg, Behavior Design Lab Founder Professor at Stanford University. At the same time she is an enthusiastic runner, passionate tennis player and mother of little Mila :)

Spor aracılığıyla sosyalleşme platformu olan SWEATers App’ın kurucu ortaklarından. Kurumlar ve çalışanlar için esenlik odaklı yeni çalışma ortamlarını tetikleyen sosyal kurumsal wellbeing platformu Wellbees’in kurucusu. Wellbees bugün, 34 şirkette,10 ülkede, beş dilde 70 bine yakın çalışana hizmet veren B2B, SaaS bir İnsan Kaynakları Teknolojisi ürünü. Melis, Columbia Üniversitesi Matematik ve Sanat Tarihi çift anadal mezunu ve herkesin birbirine destek olurken kendini gerçekleştirdiği bir dünya için çalışıyor. Tüm bunların yanında, evin içinde Tazmanya Canavarı gibi oradan oraya koşan Mila’nın annesi olan Melis; kendini çok tutkulu bir okuyucu, koşucu ve anı koleksiyoncusu olarak tanımlıyor. :)

Once afraid to embrace her own ambition and drive, Melis learned to challenge this perspective through team sports. On and off the soccer field, her work with Actifit and Kizlar Sahada is changing outlooks on gender, empowering individuals, and inspiring women to support one another.
