My Bio
Leyla Alaton was born in İstanbul in 1961. She graduated from the Business Administration and Management Faculty of Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey, USA. She completed her Master’s Degree in Social Sciences at the University of New York. Upon returning to Turkey in 1986 she first worked as assistant to Dr. Üzeyir Garih. Later, she conducted the Publicity and Marketing of the Alkent – Etiler Uyduşehir and the Alsit Villakent projects. In 1992, she was elected “Businesswoman of the Year” by the National Productivity Center. In 1993, she was among the Leaders of the Future selected for the first time at the Davos World Economic Forum. In 1993, she founded her own company, Megatrend Public Relations Consultancy Company and gave consultancy to global giants such as Aerospatiale and Alcatel. Leyla Alaton is currently Board Member of Alarko Holding A.Ş. and board member of various non-governmental organizations and has the French Order of Legion d'Honneur . She speaks English and French.
1961 yılında İstanbul’da doğan Leyla Alaton, üniversiteyi A.B.D.’nin New Jersey eyaletinde, Fairleigh Dickinson Üniversitesi’nde, İş İdaresi ve Yöneticilik üzerine okumuştur. Masterını New York Üniversitesi’nde, Sosyal Bilimler dalında tamamladıktan sonra, 1986 yılında Türkiye’ye döndüğünde Dr. Üzeyir Garih’in asistanlığını yapmıştır. Daha sonra, Alkent - Etiler Uyduşehir ve Alsit Villakent Projeleri Tanıtım ve Pazarlama işlerini yürütmüştür. 1992 yılında, Milli Prodüktivite Merkezi tarafından “Yılın İş Kadını” seçilmiştir. 1993 yılında, Davos Dünya Ekonomik Forumu bünyesinde ilk defa seçilen “Geleceğin Liderleri” arasındadır. 1993 yılında, kendi şirketi olan Megatrend Halkla İlişkiler Danışmanlık Şirketini kuran Alaton, Aérospatiale, Alcatel gibi dünya devlerine danışmanlık yapmıştır. Halen Alarko Holding A.Ş. Yönetim Kurulu Üyesi olan Leyla Alaton, çeşitli sivil toplum kuruluşlarında yönetim kurulu üyesi olup Fransız Legion d’Honneur nişanı sahibidir. Leyla Alaton İngilizce ve Fransızca bilmektedir.
