Time flies! We now welcome February with a full plate of events and activities. 

For starters, let us give thanks to our sisters who contributed to the community in January. We thank:

We are working on our Story Harvesting course, a university advocacy program, a crowdfunding campaign for CampusWIN Academy and our plans for the TurkishWIN Career Day (most likely in April).

"No Boundaries" Heart2Heart | Conversation with Yaprak Metin and Duygu Öztürk

TurkishWIN members and guests are invited to heart to heart fireside chat with Yaprak Metin, Board Member of EcoPlant Technology & Manufacturing Company, and Duygu Öztürk Director of Growth at Getir on February 7th at 6:30 PM at our fabulous digs in the Assembly | Ferko Signature. We will share what is in our hearts and minds. Join us and fellow WINners to network and build winning connections.

Sisterhood Hour: Becoming Your Own Coach w/ Oya Günay

Coaching, which is one of the most effective helping professions, aims at helping people unleash their potential and reach the point that they aspire to be. However, it should not only be seen as a profession performed by experts. Coaching is also a mindset or an attitude that everybody can gain. In our time today with Oya Günay who is an executive Coach and Strategy Partner, she will talk about how we can gain this mindset, become our own coach, and help ourselves move forward in our life journey.

Sisterhood Hour with Nilgün Akdoğan and Mona Aykul - A Guide for a New Page in Germany

Starting a new life abroad is an important and difficult decision for young people. We will talk about how to prepare to apply for a university, master's, or doctoral program in Germany, and what to know about life, culture, academia, and career opportunities in Germany. We will also explain with examples why language skills play an important role and how to learn them best. If you are considering or planning to start an academic career in Germany, we would like to accompany you to this meeting and share our knowledge with you.

Sisterhood Speed Networking Session - Managing in Different Cultures

In this Sisterhood Speed Networking Session with Kelly Pınar Goodwin, we will increase our awareness and ability to work effectively across cultures. We will learn how to better understand ourselves and others and gain skills for interacting in diverse workplace settings. Join us for an interesting and insightful conversation.

Accenture Life Trends 2023

If we think of life as a series of seismic waves, until a few years ago, things seemed to hum along quite nicely (in most places) with the occasional spike here and there. Now, though, the shocks feel relentless and wild, and sometimes it's extremely unsettling. Providing vital foresight into people's changing behavior and evolving relationship with technology, Accenture Life Trends 2023 (formerly Fjord Trends), explores the evolving power dynamics between people and organizations. These will present incredible opportunities for businesses to develop relationships with customers like never before.

🌹 Meet TurkishWINners

Nilgün Akdoğan is a powerhouse and the co-lead of our Germany Circle. Nilgün is the founder of DAS Akademie Izmir & Berlin, LTA Technology Inc. and the German Teachers Career Center. She has been teaching German as a Foreign and Second Language for over 23 years. She played an active role on the Board of Directors of the Izmir Branch of the German Teachers Association. She is also a founding member and Vice Chairman of the Board of the TAKEV Foundation (Turkish-German Culture and Education Foundation).
